The purpose and power of Prayer Counseling Ministry

    Greetings in Jesus’ Name!  Prayer Ministry is a bold step toward the restoration of divine order in your life.  The Lord Jesus Christ is at work in you to bring about spiritual renewal, physical and emotional healing.

   As you may be wondering what happens in an Inner Healing Prayer Ministry session, here are a few details:

    In each session, you will meet with trained facilitators, who are committed to pray with you and for you.  At least one team member will be of the same gender as the ministry recipient (that’s you!).  They will actively participate in your time of prayer.  However, your Prayer Ministry team will not allow you to become dependent upon them for your breakthroughs.  Rather, their goal is to help equip you with practical tools, information, and resources to encourage the progress of your own personal walk with Christ..

    Your Prayer Ministry team encourages the exercise of prayer and, if possible, fasting in preparation for ministry – disciplines they, too, engage in on your behalf.  On average, a session lasts 4 hours with brief, intermittent breaks.  You can rest assured that all Prayer Ministry sessions are private and confidential.  Each session is personal to you – wherever you are on your journey.  You and your facilitators will work together to be sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit under the authority of the Lordship of Jesus Christ.  This means that there is no set format or expectations for any one session.

    You may be surprised to learn that one of the most important aspects of your healing happens outside of the scheduled sessions.  The time between sessions allows you to process and apply your experience.  Occasionally, you may be offered assignments intended to promote your personal growth between sessions.

    There is no minimum or maximum number of sessions required of you.  You and your Facilitators will determine together when your Prayer Ministry sessions have accomplished their best goal.  However, the Inner Healing Center reserves the right to cease ministry should sessions become counterproductive.

    The Prayer Ministry will not pursue someone who is not willing to seek the Lord on their own.  Your personal commitment, preparation, and motivation help ensure that your experience during and between ministry sessions will be both positive and productive.  There is an application process required to receive Prayer Ministry.  All of this preparation by you is helpful to your facilitators.  But, more importantly, it will likely reveal to you disheveled rooms within your own heart that Jesus wants to set right.
